1. Travis Kelce, Chiefs vs. Bengals
Travis Kelce had yet another touchdown (12 on the year now) against the Rams last weekend and finished with 4 receptions for 57 yards. Every single week Kelce has the ability to put up 30 fantasy points with a guaranteed 15+ at his floor.
2. Mark Andrews, Ravens vs. Broncos
Mark Andrews only had 4 catches for 50 yards in the Ravens loss to the Jaguars. However, he still has as much upside as any tight end not named Travis Kelce, even against a tough Broncos defense.
3. Dalton Schultz, Cowboys vs. Colts
Dalton Schultz is coming off of a 19.1 fantasy point game where he pulled in 2 touchdowns. Schultz has scored 17+ fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 games and is one of Dak Prescott’s favorite red zone targets.
4. George Kittle, 49ers vs. Dolphins
George Kittle’s production fluctuates. Just two weeks ago, Kittle pulled in 2 touchdowns and had over 24 fantasy points, but last week he only had 26 yards for a total of 5.6 fantasy points. Kittle is the epitome of a high-risk high-reward type of play, but I think he has one of his better days against the Dolphins in what should be a higher scoring game than people think.
5. T.J. Hockenson, Vikings vs. Jets
T.J. Hockenson had 5 receptions, 43 yards, and a touchdown against the Patriots on Thanksgiving. The Jets have one of the better defenses in football, but Hockenson is always a reliable start in this high octane Vikings offense.
6. Pat Freiermuth, Steelers vs. Falcons
Pat Freiermuth had just 3 receptions for 39 yards (6.9 fantasy points) against the Colts on Monday Night Football, but is going up against a Falcons defense that has given up 9th amount of fantasy points to TE’s this season.
7. David Njoku, Browns vs. Texans
David Njoku tied the game against the Buccaneers with an incredible one handed touchdown catch. The Browns ended up winning in overtime and Njoku finished with 7 targets, 5 receptions, and 29 yards with a TD catch. One of the most talented TE’s in all of football, Njoku has an easy matchup in the Texans but may have to get acclimated to Deshaun Watson at QB.
8. Gerald Everett, Chargers vs. Raiders
Gerald Everett only had 4 receptions for 18 yards against the Cardinals last weekend, but because of Justin Herbert’s arm talent, Everett has one of the highest upsides of any TE.
9. Tyler Higbee, Rams vs. Seahawks
Tyler Higbee could have one of the highest usage rates of any tight end in the league the rest of the way without Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson II. However, he had 0 fantasy points last weekend and there remains a lot of risk in starting Higbee.
10. Dawson Knox, Seahawks vs. Patriots
Dawson Knox has one of the highest upsides of any tight end because of Josh Allen. However, after two straight positive performances, Knox put up just 3.7 fantasy points against the Lions last week.
11. Evan Engram, Jaguars vs. Lions
Evan Engram is coming off of three consecutive 4 fantasy point or less performances, but the Lions have the 32nd ranked pass defense in the NFL and that screams upside.
12. Foster Moreau, Raiders vs. Chargers
Foster Moreau has caught a touchdown in two of his last three games and has another positive matchup in the Chargers.
13. Taysom Hill, Saints vs. Buccaneers
It is always risky to start Taysom Hill because we just don’t know how the Saints will implement him on a weekly basis. However, there are very few tight ends that have the upside of Hill, always making him a solid but risky start.
14. Tyler Conklin, Jets vs. Vikings
Tyler Conklin had 8 fantasy points in Mike White’s first game under center and should continue to get looks from him moving forward.
15. Greg Dulcich, Broncos vs. Ravens
After bursting onto the scene in week 6 with three straight 11+ fantasy point games, Greg Dulcich has cooled down only scoring a combined 12 fantasy points in the three weeks since then. Still, because of his pure talent, Dulcich remains a decent play.
