The Sporting Tribune’s co-founders, Arash Markazi and Chris Mattmann, met while the two were adjunct professors at USC. Over the past decade, Markazi and Mattmann’s students have gone on to work at ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Fox Sports, Yahoo, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, Spectrum, ABC, Food Network, USC, UCLA, Cal, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams, Golden State Warriors, LAFC, SoFi Stadium, Twitter, TikTok, and NASA JPL.
