Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports

Jordan Kyrou collected his first career hat trick and added an assist to lead the visiting St. Louis Blues to a 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

Nathan Walker and Robert Thomas, in a two-point outing, also scored for St. Louis, which is riding a four-game winning streak. Vladimir Tarasenko collected three assists and Nick Leddy posted two helpers.

Jordan Binnington made 33 saves for the Blues, who have won the first three outings of a five-game road trip.

Ilya Mikheyev scored for the Canucks, who received a 22-save performance from Spencer Martin. Vancouver was without top point scorer Elias Pettersson for a second consecutive game due to non-COVID illness. It was the second consecutive game, and fifth on home ice this season, that the Canucks lost 5-1.

Bruins 7, Panthers 3

Patrice Bergeron had two goals and two assists as Boston posted a season-high goal total in a win over visiting Florida. Linus Ullmark made 36 saves to help the Bruins improve to 17-0-2 at home this season.

Brandon Carlo and Connor Clifton each had a goal and an assist, and Charlie Coyle, David Krejci and David Pastrnak also scored for Boston. Brad Marchand (three), Taylor Hall (two) and Hampus Lindholm (two) each had multiple assists.

Stars 2, Blue Jackets 1

Jake Oettinger made 27 saves and came within 15 seconds of a shutout as Dallas defeated host Columbus.

Wyatt Johnston and Jason Robertson scored for the Stars, who closed out a five-game road trip with seven out of 10 potential points (3-1-1). Robertson scored into an empty net to pad the lead with 1:07 remaining, but the marker stood as the game-winning goal after Kent Johnson spoiled Oettinger’s shutout bid.

Daniil Tarasov made 32 saves for Columbus, which has lost four straight. It would have been Oettinger’s third shutout of the season and fifth of his career. He played in his 100th career NHL game on Monday.

Capitals 4, Red Wings 3 (OT)

Dmitry Orlov scored on a slapshot from the right side with 22 seconds remaining in overtime, giving Washington a win over visiting Detroit. The Red Wings squandered a 2-0 lead.

Nic Dowd scored goals 11 seconds apart in the second period and had an assist on Orlov’s game-winner. Erik Gustafsson scored his fourth goal in two games and added an assist for the Capitals, who have won seven of their past eight games. Alex Ovechkin failed to score for the third straight game. He remains at 800 career goals, one behind Red Wings legend Gordie Howe for second place on the all-time list.

David Perron, Oskar Sundqvist and Lucas Raymond scored for Detroit, which took its sixth consecutive loss (0-4-2). Ville Husso made 38 saves.

Predators 4, Oilers 3 (OT)

Alexandre Carrier scored with 2:48 remaining in overtime as Nashville snapped its season-high, six-game losing streak with a victory over visiting Edmonton.

Mattias Ekholm, Jordan Gross and Matt Duchene also scored for the Predators, who ended that 0-4-2 slide and an eight-game losing streak to the Oilers. Juuse Saros stopped 30 shots for the win.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had two power-play goals for the Oilers. Jesse Puljujarvi also scored, and Connor McDavid had two assists to extend his point streak to 13 games. Edmonton’s Jack Campbell made 31 saves.

Avalanche 1, Islanders 0 (SO)

Evan Rodrigues scored the only goal in a shootout to back a 26-save effort from Alexandar Georgiev as Colorado beat New York in Denver.

Georgiev notched his second shutout of the season and 10th of his career. He made a pad save on Mathew Barzal in the shootout. Mikko Rantanen had a career-high 10 shots on goal for Colorado, which improved to 3-1 on its five-game homestand.

Ilya Sorokin turned away 46 shots through regulation and overtime, but Rodrigues beat him with a backhander on Colorado’s first attempt in the shootout.

Sabres 3, Knights 2
