Anthony De Leon is a sports columnist at The Sporting Tribune. He was born and raised Fresno, coming from a Chicano family. Since 2017, he has reported in Los Angeles and New York, with stops at the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal, covering sports, business, breaking news and everything in between. His path took him from Fresno City College to Fresno State to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned his associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. While completing his master’s, he wrote a thesis on sports reporting titled “What’s The Question: Overview of Interviewing, Questioning, and News Conference Coverage in Professional Sports Journalism.”
