ARLINGTON, Tex. -- The Rangers take the finale of this three-game series against the Angels and secure the series sweep by a final of 5-3. This was all in due part of the bat of Corey Seager as he went 7-10 in the series, and right-hander Kumar Rocker had a rock solid outing tossing seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out eight.

Los Angeles began the scoring in this contest as Jorge Soler drove in Dustin Harris from third with an RBI single to tack on one early for the Angels in the first, but Adolis Garcia for the Rangers responded by driving in Marcus Semien with a sac-fly to tie the game 1-1.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the second, Leody Taveras comes up to the plate and smacks an RBI double that drives in Jake Burger and Harris, to take the lead 3-1. Kyle Higashioka felt like a gambling man rounding third heading to home plate, but a great throw from Mike Trout in center to a relay throw from Tim Anderson gunned out Higashioka and kept the score from extending further.

The Texas bats were not done on the scoring front as in the bottom of the third, Adolis Garcia smacked a solo home run on a 3-0 green light and extended the Rangers 4-1.

The Angels had the bases loaded in the fifth, and Luis Rengifo came up big as he hit an RBI single, which brought in Anderson and Harris to score and inch Los Angeles closer 4-3.

It looked as though the Halos were making a push to avoid being swept in Texas, but the dagger struck the Angels' heart as for the 100th time as a Ranger, Seager launched a solo home run to add some much-needed insurance for the Rangers. The Texas bullpen took care of business and secured the sweep against the Halos, 5-3. Los Angeles ends their nine-game road trip with a record of 3-6 and head back home to the Big A with a .500 record (9-9).
