BROOKLYN  — The Clippers destroy the Brooklyn Nets 132-100 on Friday night. Los Angeles improved to 42-31 and stay with tied Golden State for sixth place in the Western Conference, the final guaranteed postseason place. They will get a day off before a Sunday afternoon matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Here are some takeaways from the Clippers win over the Nets:

Leonard dominates for the Clips

Last night's win was a total demolition of the Nets by the Clippers.

It was led by the team’s best player Kawhi Leonard who scored a team-high 31 points on the night.

The most impressive part of that performance was that 25 of them came in the first half. He didn’t play in the fourth quarter.

Leonard has played with a certain bounce to his game looking very reminiscent to the player  the Clippers saw before his injuries late last season.

Last night he got to his spots and was a dead eye shooter from three. He shot 5-for-6 from deep in the win.

Leonard’s play is very encouraging for a Clippers’ team that is putting it all together at the right time.

Zubac goes perfect from the field

Like Leonard, Ivica Zubac had a short night due to dominate play.

Zubac scored 21 points while bringing down 12 rebounds against the Nets.

The most impressive part of his performance was that he was a perfect 9-for-9 from the field in the win.

He had a perfect night but missed one of his four free throw attempts.

His consistent presence down low overwhelmed Brooklyn the same way he has played well against most teams this season.

Zubac is truly a weapon for this Clippers’ team that can attack you in many different ways with their center’s impactful play this season.

Patty Mills sighting

With such an impressive advantage for the Clippers heading into the fourth quarter we were able to see some Patty Mills minutes.

Mills did not disappoint.

Mills played in just seven minutes but found a way to score 15 real y quick points.

He went 3-for-4 from 3 and made all five of his free throw attempts.

He has been an emotional leader for the team since he was acquire and showed that if needed his shotmaking can be an adding asset at any time.
