ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Dodgers were riding the coattails of a dominant performance of Tyler Glasnow, as he went five innings, two hits, one walk while giving up one earned run and striking out 9 Angels on 73 pitches, 47 of which were strikes. He retires 14 of the last 15 batters he faces. The Angels swung at his slider eight times and missed seven times.

"I thought tonight there was a lot of clarity and conviction in every single throw that he made," manager Dave Roberts said on Glasnow's performance. "He just wasn't really overthinking things and again, he and Austin were synced up tonight."

Despite the commanding performance, Angels hitters managed to top the Dodgers and walk them off in the ninth.

Taylor Ward started the offense for the Angels in the first as he delivered a solo home run to left field, his second in as many games. The Dodgers would respond in the top of the second with the bat of Teoscar Hernandez as he launched a solo shot of his own, his second this spring, over the left field fence.

Austin Barnes would put the Dodgers on top in the top half of the fourth as he singled in a run that allowed Max Muncy and Michael Conforto to score to push the Dodgers lead 3-1.

Added insurance from Hernandez with his RBI single in the top half of the fifth pushed the Dodger's lead to 4-1, and this would be the conclusion of LA's scoring.

Mike Trout proved once again that he is in full form as he would add to his consistent play this spring with a vintage short and compact home run swing to cut the deficit 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth. From then on, it was pretty quiet until the Angels' bottom half of the ninth. Jorge Soler inched the Angels closer with a home run to right center field to make it a 4-3 ballgame. David Mershon hit an RBI groundout that allowed Chuckie Robinson to score and tie the game up 4-4. Ward would come up to bat with runners on second and third with two outs and delivered the final blow with a walk-off single and lead the Angels to a 5-4 win and splitting the Freeway Series and set up the rubber match.

Tomorrow night is the rubber match and final game of the spring. Dustin May will be on the bump for the Dodgers, and Jack Kochanowicz for the Angels. After this game, the Dodgers will prep for their Opening Day Series against the Detroit Tigers, where Blake Snell and Tarik Skubal will face off.
