GLENDALE, Ariz. -- It was another pleasant day of spring training baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they bested the San Franciscco Giants 6-5 on Saturday afternoon at Camelback Ranch.

Freddie Freeman, who got his second start of the spring on Saturday, hitting second as the DH, finished 1 for 3 as he blasted his first homer on a shot deep to right field in the bottom of the sixth.

One of the new signees for Los Angeles this offseason, infielder Hyeseong Kim, also managed to blast his first home run on an opposite-field shot in the fifth.

Kim finished 1-2, collecting his first RBI of the spring as he came around to score three separate times.

Another big piece of the Dodger lineup, Teoscar Hernandez, collected an extra-base in the contest as he winded up 1-3 with a double in the sixth.

Getting his first start of the spring for the Dodgers was 26-year-old right-hander Matt Sauer, who made his third appearance overall. Sauer, who appeared in 14 games with the Royals last season and worked to a 7.71 ERA across 16.1 innings, looked to continue what has been a solid stretch for Los Angeles.

The California native worked 2 2/3 innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs as he struck out four. In his previous two appearances, he had allowed one run across three innings.

Los Angeles fell behind early as Sauer allowed an RBI double to Jung Hoo Lee in the first and an RBI single to Luis Matos in the second. They managed to even things by the fifth, however, thanks to a third-inning double from Griffin Lockwood-Powell and Kim's fifth-inning homer.

Freeman's sixth-inning homer and a sacrifice fly from James Outman helped the Dodgers claim their first lead of the night at 4-3 before San Francisco provided the response in the top half of the seventh. Jerar Encarnacion smoked a two-run shot to center off of Jose Hernandez that gave the Giants a 5-4 advantage.

In the home half of the seventh, 19-year-old Jose De Paula had the answer, delivering a clutch RBI single to make it 5-5. Infielder Aaron Bracho, taking just his fourth at-bat of the spring, launched the go-ahead homer for the Dodgers in the eighth to ultimately give them the victory.

Right-hander Chris Campos did a nice job out of the bullpen in the eighth and ninth for Los Angeles, delivering two shutout innings and striking out three as he earned the victory.

The Dodgers are now 4-6 this spring and 3-3 at home.

As the squad plays two games on Sunday against the White Sox and Athletics, Tyler Glasnow and Justin Wrobleski will get starts for Los Angeles. Glasnow allowed two runs in one inning his first time out this spring, while Wrobleski has allowed two runs in three innings total so far across two appearances.

First pitch for the two games is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. PT.
