CARSON, Calif. -- The defending MLS Cup Champions, LA Galaxy, unveiled their 2025 MLS regular season schedule Thursday, which includes 17 home matches at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The Galaxy will open the season at home against first-year club San Diego FC on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 4:00 p.m.
A key highlight of the 2025 season is a rematch of the 2024 MLS Cup between the Galaxy and the New York Red Bulls. The teams will face off at Sports Illustrated Stadium on Saturday, May 10, at 4:30 p.m. PT (Apple TV).
In the highly anticipated El Trafico, the Galaxy will host LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m., before traveling to BMO Stadium on Saturday, July 19, at 7:30 p.m. for a second clash.
The Galaxy will continue their tradition of hosting a Fourth of July match, facing Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Dignity Health Sports Park at 7:30 p.m. PT. A post-match fireworks show, the longest-running in professional sports, will follow.
LA will pay a visit to Lionel Messi and Co. when they face Inter Miami in Florida on August 16.
With the addition of San Diego as the league’s 30th club, the 2025 MLS schedule will feature each team playing 34 regular-season matches – 17 home and 17 away. Clubs will face conference opponents twice (once at home and once away) and play six different cross-conference opponents once each.

The Galaxy finished the 2024 season unbeaten across all competitions at Dignity Health Sports Park, posting a 17-0-4 record at home.
International Competitions
The Galaxy’s victory in the 2024 MLS Cup secured them a spot in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. The club will face the winner of the Round One series between Real Salt Lake and C.S. Herediano in the Round of 16. The first leg is set for Wednesday, March 5, with the second leg scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. PT at Dignity Health Sports Park.
In addition, the 2025 Leagues Cup, an official tournament between MLS and LIGA MX, will take place from July 29 to Aug. 31, during the MLS regular season.
As defending MLS Cup champions, the Galaxy will also host the 2025 Campeones Cup, where they will face the winner of the Campeón de Campeones.
MLS Pauses for FIFA Club World Cup and Concacaf Gold Cup
MLS will pause its regular season from June 15-24 to accommodate the first-ever 32-team FIFA Club World Cup and the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. Fourteen MLS stadiums will serve as hosts for these international tournaments.
