Arguably the greatest professional wrestler of all time ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin lives comfortably outside of Reno, Nevada & is in a new race in life, literally.

That "Stone Cold" demeanor that vaulted him into becoming the icon he is still lives inside of him every team he steps inside his Kawasuki “buggy” for racers with the GFI Nevada Racing Team.

Steve Austin is vying to become one of the top endurance desert racers in the world. This weekend Austin participated in his most grueling race he’s ever been apart of "The Best In Desert" Vegas to Reno race, that even finishing the race in one piece regardless of placing will be viewed as a positive for every racer.

Endurance Dune Buggy racing is intense and requires Austin and a co-driver to be strapped inside the buggy for at least 8-12 hours for this race specifically. There is a path for the 550 miles but mother nature always plays here part as they traverse the elements especially at night while going at speeds over 80 miles per hour.

In April of 2023 Austin’s first race in Nevada the buggy rolled over, a month later the elements created  a crash that stopped their race journey and later in the year the buggy caught on fire. Despite all that, his laser focus, energy and competitiveness has him ready for the daunting challenge.

Alongside his teammate, and son of Shane Kisman (Austin’s co-driver), Zach Kisman, Steve Austin sat down with Adrian Hernandez to speak on his path and what the future might hold for him.
