Bronny James wins Call of Duty Tournament at NBA Summer League taken Encore Las Vegas (Los Angeles Lakers)

LAS VEGAS — Lakers rookie Bronny James beat Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams, winning the Call of Duty Modern Warfare III tournament, which took place at the Encore Las Vegas in conjunction with the NBA Summer League.

James defeated Williams in a special Modern Warfare III map to win the event. Last year's winner was Jaylin Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In a special Call of Duty two-minute drill contest, the Lakers rookie took down the former Celtics antagonist as James won it in the final seconds over Williams and Bobi Klintman of the Detroit Pistons. James' 84 points obliterated the 59 points Williams put up last year to win the event.

With the victory, James won a custom made Call of Duty championship belt and a $10,000 prize. The players also got an exclusive preview of the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
