LOS ANGELES — The Clippers were close to acquiring point guard Malcolm Brogdon in a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards until injury concerns caused the deal to collapse.
ESPN Sources: The Celtics are working on a trade to acquire the Wizards’ Kristaps Porzingis in a three-team deal that sends Malcolm Brogdon to Clippers. LA would be sending Marcus Morris, Amir Coffey and 30th pick to Washington. Sides still have more work to do on an agreement.

Concerns raised by the Clippers about Malcolm Brogdon's injury status, league sources say, led to the collapse of the three-team trade expected to send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston before midnight tonight.

A direct Wizards/Celtics deal has not been ruled out.
More NBA from me:
The Clippers backed out of the deal just hours before completion.
Brogdon's injury history is unfortunate, as he's only played over 60 games in a season three times. Considering Los Angeles is arguably the most injury-prone team in basketball, there had to be serious concerns surrounding the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year.
Although the trade fell through, a deal involving Marcus Morris is imminent. Before being included in the almost-trade, news about Morris being unhappy in Los Angeles surfaced earlier in the week. It's hard not to imagine a divorce coming soon.
The Clippers are nowhere near done with offseason decisions, considering the team is aging and holds a logjam at the guard position. Expect more fireworks and trade rumors as time closes in on Thursday's NBA Draft.
