Tiger sits on cut line with 7 holes to go at suspended Masters

Tiger Woods will return to Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday aiming to keep his streak of made cuts at the Masters alive.

Woods was tied for 50th with J.T. Poston at 2 over par for the tournament when second-round play was suspended Friday. The top 50 players and ties will qualify for the weekend, making 2 over the overnight cut line.

Woods had played his first 11 holes at even par when the horn sounded. After stringing together six straight pars to begin the round Friday afternoon, he needed four shots to get on the green at the par-4 seventh hole and made bogey.

But he bounced back right away at the par-5 eighth, chipping his third shot just a few feet away from the pin for his first birdie of the round.

Woods will resume the round Saturday morning at the famed par-3 12th hole, the centerpiece of “Amen Corner.”
