Swerve Strickland tells The Sporting Tribune's Adrian Hernandez, "To see the best, you have to watch All Elite Wrestling."

LAS VEGAS — Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage will headline AEW Double or Nothing in Las Vegas for the AEW World Championship on Sunday at MGM Grand Garden Arena. It will be the first pay-per-view title defense for newly crowned Strickland and a shot at the company’s top prize for Cage, who was dubbed AEW’s “MVP” according to owner Tony Khan earlier this week.

Not only does this marquee event mark the 5-year anniversary for AEW but it is the first time all three big name 2024 free agent signings will be on the same card: Mercedes Mone, Kazuchika Okada. & Will Ospreay.

For Strickland not only is it a chance to compete on a card that brought him much attention as a standout at Double or Nothing 2023, it helps him set the tone for the company moving forward in 2024 on multiple levels.

On the business side, a new television and streaming deal is on the table, including a lapse on the exclusive negotiating window for Warner Bros. Discover. In the ring, Strickland, Ospreay, Mone, Willow Nightingale, and the rest of the incredible roster have a chance to usher in a new era for AEW. This new era has a slogan birthed by Daniel Garica “AEW: Where The Best Wrestle.”

You don’t get this in-ring product anywhere else in the world,” Strickland said. “There’s great in-ring product everywhere, but truly to see the absolute best, you have to watch All Elite Wrestling. If truly put, not just entertainment and wrestling under two different things, I feel like we deliver all of it.”
