EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — LeBron James wasn’t sure he wanted to play this season but then he watched his sons play and that changed everything.

“I had a conversation with my family and had a conversation with myself and I was inspired by my kids,” LeBron said. “Being on the AAU circuit with Bryce and seeing how he continues to grow his individual game. I’m extremely proud of Bronny for being able to go off to USC and see where he was before and after the incident and being inspired by that. I feel like I have more in the tank to give.

Bronny James committed to USC from Sierra Canyon and was in the conversation of being a first-round draft pick. LeBron expressed during last season his desire to play with his son professionally prior to Bronny suffering cardiac arrest at a USC practice in July.

“I’m dedicating this season to Bronny,” James declared. “Nothing else matters besides my family and I’m dedicating this season to Bronny because of the incident that happened this summer,” James said. “It puts everything in perspective. No matter what’s going on in your life at that point in time, the only that matters is your family. To see what he’s had to go through and what he’s been through over the last few months has been a lot. I can only imagine how it has been for him because it’s been a lot for me and it’s been a lot for our family.”
