Fantasy Football PPR RB Rankings Week 12

Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey, and Saquon Barkley lead the way for the elite Running Backs this weekend

Where does Jonathan Taylor land after two solid performances? Are there any concerns about Nick Chubb and Joe Mixon going up against stout defensive lines this weekend?

1. Austin Ekeler, Chargers vs. Cardinals

Austin Ekeler had a touchdown and over 18 fantasy points against the Chiefs and the Cardinals rank 21st in defense against the run making this a positive matchup for him.

2. Christian McCaffrey, 49ers vs. Saints

Christian McCaffrey is coming off of a 17+ fantasy point performance and should be relied upon even more in the run game against a beat up Saints defense on Sunday.

3. Saquon Barkley, Giants vs. Cowboys

Saquon Barkley only had 5.5 fantasy points last weekend, but he is still averaging 20 fantasy points per game and will show up in a huge primetime matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

4. Derrick Henry, Titans vs. Bengals

Derrick Henry had two touchdowns vs. the Packers (one pass and one rush) and he leads the NFL in rushing yards. As always, King Henry is a safe play against the Bengals.

5. Jonathan Taylor, Colts vs. Steelers

Jonathan Taylor has put up over 16 fantasy points in back to back weeks and is finally looking like the #1 overall pick in fantasy football. The Steelers have T.J. Watt back which bolsters the Steelers defensive line, but Taylor still has elite upside for this weekend.

6. Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks vs. Raiders

Kenneth Walker III (nicknamed K9) had 28 fantasy points just two games ago and the Raiders rank 29th in defense against the run, making this a high upside contest for him.

7. Josh Jacobs, Raiders vs. Seahawks

Josh Jacobs has been amazing this season, and the Seahawks have the 27th ranked run defense making this a positive matchup for him.

8. Tony Pollard, Cowboys vs. Giants

Tony Pollard has scored 33+ fantasy points in two of his last three games and is the RB1 during that span. Whether Ezekiel Elliot plays more or not, Pollard has proven to be productive in both the rushing and passing game no matter who he faces.

9. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots vs. Vikings

Rhamondre Stevenson has been one of the best pass catching RB’s in fantasy football this season, and as the cornerstone of this struggling Patriots offense, he will be relied upon to have elite production in a pivotal matchup vs. the Vikings.

10. Travis Etienne Jr., Jaguars vs. Ravens

Travis Etienne Jr. has been one of the best RB’s in Fantasy Football since James Robinson got traded. However, Etienne Jr. is coming off of a lackluster 10.3 fantasy point performance against the Chiefs and the Ravens have an even better run defense.

11. Nick Chubb, Browns vs. Buccaneers

Nick Chubb had his worst game of the season (14 carries for 19 yards, saved by his 3 receptions for 48 yards) and the Buccaneers have one of the best defensive lines in football making this a tough test for Chubb.

12. Joe Mixon, Bengals vs. Titans

Joe Mixon went out in the third quarter against the Steelers, but only had 7 carries for 20 yards and just 9.2 fantasy points overall (because of 3 receptions for 42 yards). If he suits up against a stout defensive line in the Titans, he will have a tough time being productive for your fantasy team unless he gets into the end zone.

13. Dalvin Cook, Vikings vs. Patriots

Dalvin Cook was limited to 7.2 fantasy points against the Cowboys. However, before being game-planned out of the game (Vikings were down by a lot so they didn’t run the football in the second half) Cook had 11 carries for 72 yards and was very efficient. This may not be an ideal matchup for Cook, but I like his upside enough to put him in the top 13.

14. James Conner, Cardinals vs. Chargers

James Conner has had 3 touchdowns over his past 2 games and has caught a total of of 5 passes over that span. Though touchdown reliant, Conner is going up against the 30th ranked run defense in the NFL and is due for a big game.

15. Jeff Wilson Jr., Dolphins vs. Texans

Jeff Wilson Jr. is coming off of a 17 carry, 117 yards with a touchdown performance against the Browns before the Dolphins bye week and now has a Texans run defense that ranks last in the NFL.
