Dodgers rally late, beat Rockies for 110th win

Cody Bellinger had three hits and two RBIs to help the Los Angeles Dodgers rally for a 6-4 win on Saturday night against the visiting Colorado Rockies in the second game of their six-game series.

Trea Turner had two hits and scored two runs and Joey Gallo contributed two late-inning RBIs for the National League West champion Dodgers (110-48), who scored three runs in the seventh and two in the eighth to pull out their fourth straight win.

Dodgers starter Michael Grove allowed four runs and six hits in five innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Evan Phillips (7-3) earned the win in relief, and Brusdar Graterol pitched the ninth for his fourth save.

Rockies starter Kyle Freeland allowed one run and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked three.

Randal Grichuk and Ryan McMahon homered, and Yonathan Daza and Brendan Rodgers had two hits each for the Rockies (65-93), who have lost seven in a row and 11 of 12.

The Dodgers trailed 4-1 entering the seventh inning, but took advantage of six walks and a sacrifice fly to tie the score.

Dinelson Lamet walked the first three batters of the seventh before Chad Smith replaced him and walked Gallo and Austin Barnes to force in a pair of runs to make it 4-3.

Bellinger followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the score at 4-4.

The Dodgers loaded the bases with no outs again in the eighth off Gavin Hollowell (0-2). Gallo hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the go-ahead run for a 5-4 lead. Bellinger followed with an RBI single to extend the lead to 6-4.

The Dodgers scored first when Mookie Betts led off the third with a double to right and Freddie Freeman delivered a one-out RBI single to center for a 1-0 lead.

McMahon hit a hanging curveball into the seats in right to lead off the fourth inning and tie the score 1-1.

C.J. Cron and Rodgers followed with singles. Grove struck out Sean Bouchard, but Grichuk hit a 2-2 slider over the fence in center for a three-run homer and a 4-1 lead.
