Clippers to hold camp in Vegas

The LA Clippers will hold training camp in Las Vegas before the start of their preseason schedule next week.

In preparation for arguably the most anticipated season in franchise history, the Clippers will spend three days training at UNLV’s Mendenhall Center in Las Vegas beginning Tuesday. The team will then travel to Seattle for two preseason games against Maccabi Ra’anana on Sept. 30 and the Portland Trail Blazers on Oct. 3. Both games will be played at the Climate Pledge Arena. It will be just the second time the NBA has staged an exhibition game in Seattle since the Seattle Super Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008.

The Clippers’ first training camp in Las Vegas and first under the ownership of Steve Ballmer took place in 2014 shortly after Ballmer bought the team. The Clippers would go on to hold training camp in Hawaii for three straight seasons from 2017-2019.
