Chargers vs. Packers break down and prediction

Green Bay features a tough nosed defense with an offense that could do damage. This will be a tough matchup.

Chargers (4-5) at Packers (3-6)

When: Sunday, 10:00 a.m.

Where: Lambeau Field

TV/Radio: FOX; 98.7 FM; 105.5 FM/94.3 FM (Spanish)

Line: Chargers by -3

Notable injury designations:

Chargers: Out: TE Gerald Everett (chest), S J.T. Woods (illness). Questionable: WR Keenan Allen (shoulder), WR Jalen Guyton (groin), RB Isaiah Spiller (illness)

Lions: DOUBTFUL: S Rudy Ford (biceps). Questionable: CB Jaire Alexander (shoulder), LB Rashan Gary (shoulder), LB Quay Walker (groin)

What’s at stake? For the Chargers, it is a chance to get back in the playoff picture as they are one game behind the seventh seed. For The Packers, not falling behind in the playoff race in the NFC.

Who’s better? Chargers. They have the talent but the defense has been on a rollercoaster this season, so who knows what way they play Sunday.

Matchup to watch: Keenan Allen vs. Packers secondary. Allen is having one of those seasons where he can’t be slowed down. It will be interesting to see how the Packers decide to cover him.

Chargers win if: the defense gives Jordan Love the Zach Wilson treatment which is getting him on the ground and running around. They must cause him to turn the football over.

Fantasy sleeper: Keenan Allen. Why go with anyone else? Allen is on a mission this season.

Prediction: The Packers feature two running backs that can do some damage and can move the football until the defense can show they can slow a decent offense down. They won’t be able to win games. This will be ugly and low scoring. Green Bay wins 21-18.
