What’s at stake? For the Chargers it is to show that their defense turned a corner and they might be a dangerous team. For the Lions, they have lost to the Seahawks and Ravens, so are they a top NFC team? This game may show the answer.

Who’s better? Detroit. They have talent on both sides of the ball but feature one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. That is a huge tool.

Matchup to watch: Chargers pass rush vs. Lions offensive line. The pass rush is second in the NFL in sacks while the Lions line has allowed the fewest sacks in the NFL. This will be a tough matchup.

Chargers win if: they can protect Justin Herbert and in turn disrupt Jared Goff. The Chargers offensive line hasn’t been able to keep Herbert from taking hits they need to in order to win. They also need to take Goff down.

Fantasy sleeper: Keenan Allen. After surpassing 10k Allen has set his sights on the Chargers all-time receiving record held by Antonio Gates. Expect a big game from him.

Prediction: The Lions may be too much for a Chargers offense that is struggling to protect Herbert. Lions win 31-24.
