Chargers edge rusher Joey Bosa is active vs. Titans

Ric Tapia - The Sporting Tribune
The Chargers defense got a boost Sunday with Joey Bosa being active in Tennessee.

The Chargers got good news Sunday when edge rusher Joey Bosa was ready to face the Tennessee Titans.

Bosa did not practice Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a limited practice Friday, where he practiced on the side.

Head coach Brandon Staley said Friday that Bosa would feel it out pregame and be a game-time decision. It is unknown if there will be a snap count on him.

The team has other concerning injuries, with running back Austin Ekeler dealing with an ankle injury he suffered last Sunday. Linebacker Eric Kendricks is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Neither player practiced this week.

There is also no edge rusher Chris Rumph, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. Since he is not playing, the team pulled up Brevin Allen to back up Bosa and Khalil Mack.

Not only are they without Kendricks but also rookie Daiyan Henley, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. Kenneth Murray will wear the green dot. Expect more Derwin James in the box, along with Nick Riemann and Amen Ogbongbemiga.
