Michael is a native of Los Angeles, and current sports writer and reporter for NBC LA. He’s previously been the sports editor for Latin Times, a subsidiary of Newsweek. He jointed the NBC team in LA in 2015, regularly covering the Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, USC Trojans, and more. The Southern California Journalism Awards named Duarte the 2019 Sports Journalist of the Year. He is a graduate of UCSB and the University of Southern California.
